How to make a field trip reservation

Reservations are required for Field Trips to the DWA in order to receive the discounted admission rate. If possible, plan your visit in the fall and early winter months in order to avoid the spring and summer crowds. Your visit will be more educational and enjoyable and the education rate is discounted an additional dollar per student during this period of time. Reservations are made by calling the Education Department at (214) 720-2224, exts. 318, 321 or 327.

After a time and date have been selected, you will receive notification that a $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required prior to an assigned date, in order to secure the reservation.

Upon receipt of the deposit by the Education Department, you may:

  • Submit the names of those teachers whose students will be included in the Field Trip. These names will be given to General Admission in order to provide a free pre-planning trip to the DWA for each participating teacher. Please be sure that each teacher has a photo ID to show at admissions. This pre-planning visit is strongly encouraged in order to be more familiar with the facility (can not be used on the day of the visit).
  • Select your Units of Study and Activities for your group, which will be provided to you via email (pdf files) or mailed (CD). The TEKS Correlation is available to assist with the pre-planning of your Field Trip.
