Catering
Catering services are provided by Daryl’s By Design, a Dallas-based
catering company since 1985. Their expert in-house staff
provides the ultimate attention to detail and creativity
in presentation, cuisine and service.

The
above rates include group admission for up to 250 guests
per facility (500 for both facilities).
Additional admission cost is $6.00 per person.
Deposits
and Payments 
A tentative date can be held for one week. A $2,500 deposit
and signed contract are required in order to secure a date.
The date is not guaranteed and will automatically be released
without notification if the deposit is not received by the
end of the “on hold” week. A minimum deposit of $5,000 is
required to secure both facilities. A deposit equal to fifty
percent of the contract amount for any event is due thirty
days before the scheduled date. Payment in full is due on
the day of the event. All deposits are non-refundable.
A
minimum of two staff members from The Dallas World Aquarium
must be present for any event in the rainforest. They are
necessary for security purposes but also provide educational
information for the guests. The cost is $45 per hour each,
with a two hour minimum.
The
following are day/month revenue minimums* for events at
The Dallas World Aquarium. These are based on totals before
taxes, surcharge and room rental(s):
Weekday

*Minimums
double for booking of both buildings. Minimums are effective
30 days prior to event date.
Staffing
All staff members are based on minimum of four hours. The
number will be determined by the number of guests and the
type of menu selected. Staffing charges will include setup
and breakdown.
Manager/Chefs
$35 per hour
Servers/Bartenders $25 per hour
Party
Rentals 
All available in-house rentals are at no charge which includes
tables, linens, flatware, glassware and stainless chafers.
Any rented items will be charged to client. Special tablecloths
and chairs (other than folding natural and white) are rented
from local rental companies.
Parking
Complimentary parking spaces are not provided by The Dallas
World Aquarium. However, the following options can be arranged:
Reserved Spaces < 50 spaces $3 per space 50+ spaces $2 per
space Self Parking $2-$4 pay at box Valet Parking $20 per
hour per parker (Does not include parking cost per car.)
Security
At least one security person is required per event. Security
is $50 per hour with a four-hour minimum.
Marine
Biologists/Zoologists 
Marine biologists are available for $50 per hour, with a
two-hour minimum, to provide educational tours of the saltwater
exhibits during your event. Zoologists are required for
events in the rainforest. Divers are available to entertain
from inside the Continental Shelf or The River exhibits
for $100 per hour. Specialty signs for the diver are also
available at an additional cost.
Entertainment
Various live bands, disc jockeys, small ensembles, pianists
and harpists are frequently booked for events. Both the
Tribal Gallery and Port Hole have optimal acoustics and
ample electrical supply for musical entertainment. Entertainment
restrictions are required in the aquarium and rainforest
exhibit areas, in order to protect the privacy of the animals.
A 100 sq. ft. screen in both the Tribal Gallery and Port
Hole can accommodate audio-visual presentations. A video
projection system is also available but requires a technician
to be on-site during all programs (cost varies).
Floral
Arrangements from simple centerpieces to elaborate floral
displays can be provided in-house and incorporated into
the theme of the event. Outside florists are also welcome.
Located on the second floor of the aquarium, the Port Hole
features 3,500 square feet of event and entertainment space.
The Port Hole can accommodate 300 for a seated dinner and
500 for an informal function. The setting is also very comfortable
for an intimate private luncheon or dinner.
