Giant river otter
Giant river otters (Pteronura brasiliensis) are known in South America as "Lobo Del Rio", or river wolves. They are the largest of the thirteen otter species found throughout the world. Giant river otters are now threatened with extinction, largely due to the commercial value of their beautiful pelts. They are the top predator and bio-indicator of their habitat.
